Job summary

MainStreet Family Care in Birmingham, AL is seeking an entry-level Revenue Cycle Specialist to support our clinics' financial operations. This on-site role includes learning payments, claims, and patient accounts with hands-on training and mentorship.

You will work Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM in-office, with potential scheduling flexibility after training. Starting pay is $16–$18 per hour, plus benefits and PTO as provided by the company.

Qualifications

• Clear communicator with strong problem-solving skills.
• Systems thinker who understands how processes connect.
• Curious, eager to learn, and receptive to feedback.
• HS diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Identify issues and trends in the healthcare revenue cycle.
• Resolve clearinghouse errors and rejections.
• Review and adjust denials and account postings.
• Maintain accuracy of payments, adjustments, and clearing accounts.
• Investigate credits and undistributed payments and ensure payer guidelines are followed.
