Qualifications

• Completion or near completion of a B.S. or M.S. in the geological sciences; 1–3 years of related work experience preferred.
• Experience collecting and processing near-surface geophysical data, specifically with GPR and magnetometers.
• Familiarity with geotechnical engineering and testing, remote sensing fundamentals, and GIS analysis.
• Strong technical and interpersonal skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members and clients, orally and in writing, in English.
• Ability to pay close attention to detail and check the quality of own work.
• Ability to work independently and manage time and workload effectively, which includes planning, organizing and prioritizing tasks.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Willingness to adapt to changing technologies and industry trends.
• Valid driver’s license with a favorable driving record.
• Ability to travel and work in the field for extended periods (up to 2 weeks) or 15-20% overall.
• Proficiency in MS Office. Knowledge of Oasis Montaj, ArcGIS, QGIS, and AutoCAD is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Plan geophysical surveys and acquire geophysical data in the field (e.g., GPR, electrical resistivity, magnetometer).
• Process and interpret ground-based and aerial geophysical and remote sensing data (LiDAR and imagery).
• Lead on-site coordination and execution of geotechnical site investigations, including drilling subcontractors and soil logging.
• Prepare geophysical, remote sensing, and geotechnical deliverables, reports, and proposals.
• Keep management advised of work status, workload, problems, and progress.
