NiSource Inc. is hiring an entry-level Operations Field/Service Technician in Coshocton, OH. The role progresses to Field/Service Technician 2 after two years with required training and Operator Qualifications (OQs).

You will install, repair and replace distribution facilities, operate light earth-moving equipment, and test gas lines. Excellent teamwork and safety compliance are essential for this position.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must have a mechanical aptitude and be able to use various types of hand tools needed for repair of field facilities.
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations, prepare legible records and understand written and oral communications.
• Requires skill in reading/interpreting gauges & dials.
• All positions subject to DOT AMPP regulations.

Responsabilités

• Install, repair and replace distribution facilities such as main lines and services; operate and maintain construction equipment.
• Operate light earth-moving equipment and transport equipment/materials.
• Install and remove gas meters, meter settings, and regulators; inspect and test service and house lines for leaks.
• Use test instruments to install, service, and adjust gas appliances.
• Respond to gas service inquiries and advise on installations.
• Turn gas on/off for customers.
