Job summary

Newrez is seeking a Contested Foreclosure Specialist I to support the Foreclosure Department with litigation-related matters tied to foreclosure accounts. You will monitor litigation, review requests, and coordinate with outside counsel to maximize recovery within the court system. Travel may be required.

This role emphasizes strong organization, timely communication, and collaboration with legal teams to manage discovery, complaints, and related actions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 1-2 years direct foreclosure experience required.
• Prior litigation support experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage cases within the foreclosure litigation inventory as assigned by Supervisor.
• Process all requests by assigned attorneys for media issues, settlement authority, check requests, etc.
• Process all discovery, complaint and counterclaim actions; may execute documents.
• Provide support to Supervisor and legal department with assigned cases.
• Provide information support to the legal recovery efforts.
• Identify issues or trends and elevate to Supervisor.
• Assist on special projects and other duties as assigned.
• Potential to testify at deposition/trial in person, by phone, or Zoom.
