Job summary

Newrez in Tempe, AZ is seeking a Contested Foreclosure Specialist III to support the Foreclosure Department with litigation-related matters and appear at trials, depositions, and hearings as needed. Travel is required and on-site presence is essential to coordinate records custodial and servicing processes.

You will review mortgage documents, assist senior specialists and outside counsel, manage discovery responses, and help maximize recovery through the court system while maintaining thorough

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• 5+ years direct foreclosure or mortgage servicing experience required.
• 3+ years in litigation resolution experience required.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of contested foreclosure cases as assigned.
• Appear in-person or telephonically as records custodian and fact witness at trials/depositions; travel as needed.
• Read, review, and interpret mortgage loan documents for contested matters.
• Settle cases within given authority parameters with minimal supervision.
• Coordinate discovery responses with attorneys and outside counsel.
• Research points of law affecting recovery efforts and provide information support.
