Job summary

Newrez in Tempe, AZ seeks a Contested Foreclosure Specialist to support the Foreclosure Department with litigation related matters, monitor accounts, and coordinate with outside counsel to maximize recovery.

Roles include handling discovery, complaints, and counterclaims, with potential deposition/testimony. Requires strong time management, communication skills, and familiarity with BKFS/LoanSphere and MS Office.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred.
• 1–2 years direct foreclosure experience required.
• Strong time management, problem solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage foreclosure litigation inventory as assigned by Supervisor.
• Process attorney requests for media issues, settlement authority, and checks.
• Handle discovery, complaints and counterclaims; may execute documents.
• Support Supervisor and legal department on assigned cases.
• Assist in legal recovery efforts and report liability issues to Supervisor.
• Identify trends and escalate as needed; participate in special projects.
• Potential to testify at deposition/trial in person, by phone, or Zoom.
• Perform related duties as assigned by Supervisor.
