Job summary

Continental Fire Sprinkler Company is seeking an entry-level designer to prepare fire protection installation drawings, hydraulic calculations, and data for submittals. Training will be provided through classroom, field, and self-guided study as part of a collaborative drafting team.

The role requires learning to read drawings, develop installation drawings, and visit sites to review conditions. Candidates should be adaptable, reliable, and eager to grow in a deadline-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or recent graduate in an engineering-related field preferred.
• MS Excel, Word, and AutoCAD experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design fire suppression systems and perform hydraulic calculations.
• Prepare shop drawings and field installation plans.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, clients and jurisdiction authorities.
• Create material stocklists and support procurement.
• Visit construction sites to review field conditions and resolve issues.
• Research NFPA and Building Codes as required.
