Job summary

Western States Fire Protection Company is seeking an entry level Fire Sprinkler Designer and Project Manager to design and coordinate sprinkler systems for commercial, industrial, and residential buildings. You will create finished representations using AutoCAD, AutoSprink, and HydraCAD tools and plan initial project scheduling and material lists.

The role includes hydraulic calculations, progress tracking, and close collaboration with sub-contractors and owners to meet schedule and budget

Qualifications

• NICET certification required (In Training or Level I–IV)
• Proven ability with AutoCAD, AutoSprink, HydraCAD or similar software
• Supervisory experience is a plus
• Three years' experience in commercial, industrial, and residential design is required

Responsibilities

• Review construction contract documents and coordinate with sub-contractors and General Contractor/owner to gather required information to design the project’s sprinkler system
• Determine construction feasibility and system possibilities through analytical thinking
• Create detailed drawings using AutoCAD, AutoSprink, or HydraCAD
• Develop initial project schedules and material stock listings
• Perform hydraulic calculations
• Monitor project progress, schedule, and budgets to ensure safety, quality and profitability
• Oversee field labor and staffing to maximize productivity
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure proper handover of information
