Job summary

Impact Fire Services seeks a Fire Sprinkler Designer to assist in preparing NFPA-compliant shop drawings and hydraulic calculations for commercial projects. You will evaluate components, analyze hazards, and ensure code compliance.

Under the guidance of the Design Manager, you will survey existing systems, prepare drawings, material lists, and support field surveys to successfully install fire sprinkler systems.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of fire sprinkler design experience.
• Mechanical and mathematical aptitude with strong desire to excel.
• Proven Sprinkler Design Software and ability to learn new software.
• Computer fluency in Microsoft Office.
• Excellent written & oral communication skills needed.
• Occasional out of town travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Learn to prepare fire protection design drawings and hydraulic calculations, within time and budget constraints, for commercial buildings in compliance with applicable codes for submittal and fabrication.
• The successful candidate must exhibit a desire to train on new systems and technologies.
• Continue to expand knowledge in the field of fire protection by on-the-job training and self-direction.
