Qualifications

• Associates degree in design or related field; if none, 6+ years of mechanical design experience.
• Prior experience with Fire Suppression systems is highly desired.
• Design experience with BIM, REVIT, AutoCAD, AutoSPRINK, HydroCAD, SprinkCAD, Microstation.
• Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills; team oriented.

Responsibilities

• Design fire suppression systems including wet, dry, pre-action, and foam systems.
• Prepare detailed shop drawings, field installation drawings, and hydraulic calculations.
• Coordinate design with building structure and other MEP subs.
• Prepare material submittals for review by architects, engineers, clients, and authorities.
• Assist with field engineering troubleshooting and support on jobsites.
• Prepare as-built drawings for archives and client files.
• Understand job costs related to engineering, materials, fabrication, and labor.

Education
