Job summary

Virtucom is hiring Entry Level Field Technicians to support K-12 education technology deployments nationwide. No prior experience required— eager learners will install, configure, and maintain devices across districts.

You will interact with school staff, perform installations, provide basic training, and maintain project documentation, with travel across the U.S. as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform physically demanding tasks.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds routinely.
• Familiarity with basic hand and power tools is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site assessments to ensure optimal setup for installations.
• Prepare, unpack, inspect, and organize equipment for installation.
• Securely install technology equipment following company and manufacturer standards.
• Configure and calibrate devices, including software and firmware updates.
• Perform system diagnostics, troubleshooting, and comprehensive testing.
• Provide clear and thorough training to school staff on device usage and maintenance.
• Maintain detailed documentation of installations, repairs, and client interactions.
• Adhere strictly to safety protocols and maintain a safe work environment.
• Conduct routine maintenance and promptly address repair requests.
• Continuously learn new installation methods and suggest improvements.
• Collaborate effectively with teammates and contribute positively to the team.
• Manage and maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and spare parts.
• Communicate professionally with clients regarding scheduling and specific needs.
• Ensure cleanliness and orderliness of installation sites.
• Submit regular activity reports and feedback to management.
• Ability to help other units during onsite downtime (Production/Warehouse/Repairs)

We are seeking dedicated and reliable Entry Level Field Technicians to support our growing operations. No prior experience is necessary—only a willingness to learn, a commitment to excellence, and a passion for making an impact in K-12 education through technology.

Entry Level Field Technicians represent Virtucom directly, interacting with school personnel and playing an essential role in installing, configuring, and maintaining technology solutions across school districts nationwide.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous warehouse or related operational experience.
• Fundamental understanding of technology principles.

Additional Requirements

• Must pass a comprehensive background check.
• Flexible and willing to travel across the U.S., with at least two weeks' notice.
• Valid driver's license and a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).

Salary Description

$16-$20 per hour | $33,280 - $41,600 per year
