Job summary

Kiewit is seeking an entry-level Field Engineer to support field and office operations on diverse infrastructure projects. You will assist in interpreting drawings, performing quantity takeoffs, and contributing to safety and planning efforts across multiple districts.

Based in the South Central District with a Westlake, TX footprint, you will gain broad exposure to estimating, scheduling, and cost tracking while relocating as needed to meet project needs.

Qualifications

• Willingness to travel and relocate as projects require, national scale.
• Associates or higher in civil engineering, construction management, or related field.
• Ability to access all points of a construction site in varying climates.
• Strong work ethic, initiative, and ethics integrity.
• Valid driver's license is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist interpretation of drawings and specifications for field crews and supervision.
• Perform quantity calculations by measurements and percent complete.
• Assist in preparing work plans and work packages.
• Assist in field surveying and layout support including elevation and control points.
• Assist in compiling daily labor timesheets and JHA preparation.
• Provide solutions related to construction operations and participate in safety reviews.
• Order and schedule material deliveries and coordinate work groups on site.
• Supervise field operations and support office engineering tasks.
• Assist in material takeoffs and basic engineering calculations.
• Support data gathering for submittals and customer communications.
