Job summary

Kiewit is seeking an entry-level Field Engineer to support field operations across varied infrastructure projects. You will assist in drawing interpretation, quantity takeoffs, and plan development while collaborating with a safety-focused team.

You will contribute to job-site surveys, data collection, and cost-tracking activities, with opportunities to relocate as work demands. A valid driver’s license and a strong work ethic are essential.

Qualifications

• Willingness to travel and relocate to multiple cities as required by national projects.
• Degree in civil engineering, construction management or related field.
• Infrastructure/Heavy Civil project experience is preferred.
• Ability to access construction sites in varied climates and environments.
• Demonstrated motivation, initiative and strong work ethic.
• Commitment to ethics, integrity and safety.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Team player who can work independently and meet deadlines.
• Must have a valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Assist in interpretation of drawings and specifications for field crews and craft supervision.
• Perform quantity calculations and takeoffs from measurements and completed work.
• Assist in preparing work plans and work packages for field teams.
• Assist in field surveying and data collection for as-built records.
• Assist in daily labor timesheets, JHA’s, and cost data.
• Support safety reviews, toolbox talks, and site coordination.
