Job summary

Kiewit's South Central District in Texas is seeking an entry-level Field Engineer to support field operations on diverse infrastructure projects. You will assist with drawings interpretation, takeoffs, layout, and coordination with field crews and subcontractors, traveling as needed to project sites.

Ideal candidates hold civil engineering or construction management degrees, are safety-minded, and ready to relocate.

Qualifications

Travel and relocate to multiple cities as projects require.
Associates, Undergraduate, or Graduate degree in civil engineering, construction management or related field.
Preference for Infrastructure/Heavy Civil project experience.
Ability to access construction sites in varied climates/environments.
Strong work ethic, initiative, safety mindedness.

Responsibilities

Assist in interpreting drawings and specifications for field crews and supervision.
Perform quantity calculations from measurements and material/work percentages.
Assist in preparing work plans and work packages.
Assist in field surveying and layout including elevations and control points.
Assist in tracking daily labor timesheets and JHA preparations.
Assist in providing solutions for construction operations and safety reviews.
Plan, schedule, and coordinate work groups on site and supervise field operations.
