Job summary

Kiewit is seeking an Entry Level Engineer to support field operations across transportation and heavy civil projects. You will work with field crews, estimators, and project teams, gaining exposure to drawings, takeoffs, and data collection.

The role offers a chance to relocate as projects require and grow within a safety‑minded, fast‑paced construction environment across multiple states in the South Central District.

Qualifications

• Associates, Undergraduate, or Graduate degree in civil engineering, construction management or related field.
• Infrastructure/Heavy Civil project experience is preferred.
• Willingness to travel and relocate to cities as business requires; national scale.
• Ability to access construction sites in varying climates and environments.
• Strong work ethic and initiative.
• Commitment to ethics and integrity.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Team player who can work independently to meet deadlines.
• Strong organization, time management and attention to detail.
• Must have a valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Interpret drawings and specifications for field crews and craft supervision.
• Perform quantity calculations and takeoffs for planning and estimating.
• Prepare work plans and work packages.
• Assist in field surveying and layout support including elevation and control points.
• Compile daily labor timesheets and maintain project records.
• Assist in Job Hazard Analysis and safety reviews.
• Coordinate material deliveries and schedule work groups on site.
• Supervise field operations and provide solutions for construction operations.
• Assist in generating change orders and as-built data for review.
