Job summary

Kiewit Southwest District seeks an entry-level Office Engineer to support field and office teams on heavy civil transportation projects. You will assist in drawings interpretation, takeoffs, cost tracking, and subcontract administration while traveling as needed.

This role offers training, mentorship, and opportunities to grow within a national contractor. Relocation and travel are common; a valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate or graduate degree in civil engineering, construction management or related field.
• Willingness to travel and relocate to meet project needs nationwide.
• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in interpretation of drawings and specifications for field crews.
• Perform material takeoffs and basic engineering calculations.
• Support data collection for submittals and RFIs.
• Prepare purchase orders and subcontracts as requested.
• Enter data into project cost systems and review cost reports.
