Job summary

Kiewit is seeking an Entry Level Field Engineer to support heavy civil, transportation and water resource projects across the Southeast. You will assist in interpreting drawings, performing takeoffs, and coordinating field activities with crews, while learning from experienced engineers on dynamic projects.

This role offers relocation/travel opportunities, exposure to multiple project types, and a path to advanced positions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction-related engineering (civil, mechanical, construction management, mining, geotechnical).
• Willingness to travel and relocate to multiple cities as business requires.
• Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Assist in interpretation of drawings and specifications for field crews and supervision.
• Perform quantity calculations by taking measurements and determining percentages of work.
• Assist in preparation of work plans, packages, and field surveys.
• Assist in coordinating field activities and supervising subcontractor operations.
• Participate in safety reviews, toolbox talks, and safety training.
• Support in project documentation including daily reports, RFIs, and cost data.
• Assist in preparing purchase orders, subcontracts, and change orders.
