Job summary

Kiewit is seeking an Entry Level Engineer to join the Southwest District. You will perform engineering work on a wide variety of heavy civil projects, assist in district estimating, and support field and office engineering activities across multiple locations.

The role requires willingness to travel and relocate as projects demand, with strong emphasis on safety, quality, and collaboration within the Kiewit family.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate or graduate degree in civil engineering, construction management or related degree.
• Willingness to travel and relocate nationally.
• Strong communication, leadership and teamwork required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in interpretation of drawings and specifications for field crews and craft supervision.
• Perform quantity calculations and takeoffs from drawings and contract documents.
• Assist in preparing work plans, surveys, and data collection for cost control.
• Support field operations, scheduling, and coordination of crews and material deliveries.
• Assist in preparing purchase orders, subcontracts, and cost reports.
