Job summary

FiberTel, LLC, a Quanta Services, Inc. subsidiary, is hiring entry-level Construction Workers/Laborers to support telecom construction across sites. You will assist foremen with loading, digging, cable installation and general labor duties.

This role is outdoor, full-time, and requires ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work in all weather. A valid driver’s license is required and CDL is a plus. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with company match, paid holidays and vacation.

Qualifications

• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Possess a valid driver’s license or be eligible to obtain one.
• A good driving record is required.
• Basic knowledge of and ability to operate various utility trucks and hand tools safely.
• Class A Commercial Driver’s License is a plus (higher wage scales apply).
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers, employees, etc.
• Willing and able to work in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• All phases of telecommunication construction include loading, driving, digging, removal and placement of materials and equipment.
• Hand dig using shovel, mechanical tools and install/maintain underground telecommunications cabling.
• Operate or work around heavy equipment and machinery.
• Work in congested or remote areas and maintain safety with crew and traffic.
• Setup, preparation, and cleanup of construction sites, and learn all aspects of crew operations.
