Job summary

Allied Universal Event Services in Punta Gorda, Florida is hiring Event Security staff for part-time roles at local venues. This position offers flexible scheduling, weekly pay, and no prior experience is required.

Applicants must be 18 years or older and hold a valid Florida State Security License where applicable. As a member of the security team you will check bags, enforce access control, direct guests, and respond to incidents to keep venues safe.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state/local laws and may be required prior to employment.
• As a condition of employment, candidate must successfully complete a background investigation and a pre-employment drug/alcohol test.
• Able to use good independent judgment and discretion.
• Must be able to work overtime as needed.
• Outstanding oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in event day preparation and execution.
• Verify entry, tickets, wristbands and badges, direct traffic at venue entrances.
• Screen guests via bag checks, handheld metal detector, and IDs.
• Protect guests, staff and assets by monitoring for security breaches at key points.
• Respond quickly to crowd-control issues and escort unruly guests when necessary.
• Demonstrate understanding of policies and regulations of venues and events.
• Provide a positive guest experience at facility entrances and concourses.
• Offer directions and suggestions to enhance guests' entertainment experience.
