Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an entry‑level Environmental, Water Resources, or Civil Engineer to join our Water Services Group in Raleigh. This role offers a launching pad to work on water and wastewater projects, gaining hands‑on experience from design through execution.

You will support planning, design, and implementation of facilities, sewers, pipelines, and related infrastructure, collaborating with senior engineers to meet regulatory requirements and client needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental or Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
• 0 years. Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience in lieu of a degree will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Supporting site assessments, water quality analyses, and engineering modeling.
• Developing and adjusting design parameters based on project needs.
• Preparing technical reports, project documentation, and client presentations.
• Using ArcGIS, HEC-RAS, SWMM, CADD, and Excel to support engineering and design work.
• Collaborating with engineers and project teams across the project lifecycle.
• Participating in fieldwork and construction management activities.
