Qualifications

• One year of verifiable experience operating a two-way radio base station.
• Verifiable experience operating a multi-line telephone and a two-way radio base system.
• Proficiency in recording, transmitting and logging messages for permanent records.

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of communications equipment to receive, route and dispatch calls.
• Verify and evaluate messages to determine required actions and agency notifications.
• Dispatch mobile units and coordinate with other city departments and agencies.
• Log essential information and maintain accurate records of messages and unit status.
• Assist in coordinating emergency procedures with multiple departments during incidents.
• Transmit alarms and monitor related security or alert systems as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
