Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an electrical engineer to support the Engineering and Design unit, delivering thoughtful power and control system designs for industrial facilities. You will work with multidisciplinary teams to integrate process and control requirements, develop drawings, specs, and cost estimates, and communicate with clients.

The role includes fieldwork travel (10-15%), design optimization, and collaboration across project teams to meet objectives and deadlines.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with coursework focused on power or control systems.
EIT certification or ability to obtain within one year.
Familiarity with AutoCAD, Excel, and Word.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

Support the Engineering and Design business unit as part of the electrical group.
Provide electrical engineering and related technical expertise to multidisciplinary project teams.
Integrate process, mechanical, and control requirements into electrical systems.
Design power and controls for power plants, refineries, mining facilities, heavy industry, and water treatment plants.
Prepare drawings, specifications, sketches, and cost estimates; select equipment.
Write proposals and reports; communicate with clients.
Travel up to 10-15% for domestic fieldwork; work in construction-site terrain and move field testing equipment as needed.
