Job summary

Jobtailor seeks an Electrical Design Engineer to support and deliver capital projects for industrial clients in California. You will design low- and medium-voltage power systems, develop drawings in Revit and AutoCAD, and ensure California code compliance throughout project lifecycles.

The role requires ABET‑accredited electrical engineering education, EIT eligibility, and travel for site activities, with opportunities to work on multidisciplinary design-build projects in a dynamic team.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from ABET-accredited program.
Engineer-in-Training certification or willingness to sit for EIT exam.
Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD for electrical design documentation.
Experience with electrical power distribution, lighting, or system design models.
Ability to travel for project requirements including site activities and meetings.
Familiarity with Title 24, California Electrical Code, and facility documentation (preferred).

Responsibilities

Support electrical design and delivery of capital projects for manufacturing and industrial clients.
Design power distribution and lighting systems for renovations and greenfield projects.
Develop electrical drawings, specifications, calculations, and models in Revit and AutoCAD.
Coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors on multidisciplinary capital projects.
Apply NEC, California Electrical Code, and energy-code requirements to designs.
Update as-built CAD documentation and master data sets as projects evolve.
Assist client sites with installation, start-up, meetings and training as needed.
