Forgent Power Solutions, Inc. in Minnesota is seeking an entry-level Electrical Engineer I to design electrical control systems for Forgent products, under supervision, including drafting schematics, BOMs, and supporting documentation.

You will work in an Engineer-to-Order environment, applying UL standards and NEC requirements, learning AutoCAD Electrical, and collaborating with senior engineers to meet schedules and quality goals.

Qualificações

• BS in Electrical Engineering or related field; coursework in electrical power systems is a plus
• 0–2 years of engineering or technical experience (internships or co-op included)
• Experience with AutoCAD Electrical, SolidWorks PDM, or other CAD design tools is a plus
• Exposure to renewables, data centers, battery energy storage, or EV charging stations is a plus
• Self-motivated with strong interpersonal skills and ability to solve problems through collaboration

Responsabilidades

• Develop and draft electrical schematics, one-lines, three-lines, wire lists, BOMs, and supporting documentation with review from senior engineers
• Review customer specifications and sales agreements to create designs
• Learn and apply AutoCAD Electrical tools and libraries; develop on-the-job
• Learn UL standards (UL 891, UL 1558, UL 508A) and NEC requirements
• Participate in cross-functional teams to address manufacturing, design, and quality issues
• Provide onsite technical field support with up to 10% travel
• Follow housekeeping and safety procedures
