Job summary

Forgent Power Solutions, Inc. in Minnesota is seeking a Project Engineer to support the Engineering Manager in planning, coordinating, and executing engineering activities for switchgear and engineered power system projects.

You will focus on project execution, schedules, deliverables, and cross-functional coordination across Mechanical, Electrical, Drafting, Manufacturing, and Operations to keep projects moving from kickoff to release and manufacturing on time.

Qualifications

• 3+ years engineering experience in industrial/manufacturing environments
• Experience on project-based or engineered-to-order products
• Strong organizational and project coordination skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Ability to interpret drawings, specs, and project requirements
• Strong communication across multiple departments
• Detail-oriented with good technical documentation

Responsibilities

• Assist the Engineering Manager with project scheduling, priorities, and resource coordination
• Develop and maintain engineering schedules, deliverables, and milestones
• Coordinate activities from kickoff through design release and manufacturing
• Monitor progress, identify risks, bottlenecks, and outstanding deliverables
• Coordinate work across Mechanical, Electrical, Drafting, Manufacturing, Operations, and PM
• Track engineering changes and deliverables; support changes and redlines
• Support drawing/document revisions through PLM/PDM systems
• Participate in design reviews, production meetings, and cross-functional sessions
• Communicate status and priorities to Engineering Manager and teams
• Escalate issues affecting schedules or deliverables
