Job summary

Forgent Power Solutions, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Drafter to support design and documentation of medium voltage switchgear and power distribution systems.

You will create accurate drawing packages and supporting docs for engineered-to-order manufacturing projects, contributing to both new product development and production updates. The role requires 2-4+ years of drafting experience in industrial or power distribution environments and proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical certification in Electrical Drafting or related field.
• 2-4 years of drafting experience in industrial electrical or power distribution.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical and reading electrical diagrams.
• Ability to read one-lines, schematics, wiring diagrams, and control drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to support multiple projects in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Create and revise electrical drawings using AutoCAD Electrical.
• Produce engineering documentation including: one-line diagrams, three-line diagrams, schematic drawings, wiring diagrams, wire lists, interconnection drawings, control panel layouts, cable schedules, BOMs.
• Support design documentation for medium voltage switchgear, protection and control systems, power distribution assemblies, control and relay applications.
• Incorporate engineering updates, manufacturing redlines, and production feedback into released drawings.
• Coordinate with engineering and manufacturing teams to resolve drawing discrepancies and support production needs.
• Assist with drawing revisions and workflow updates within the PLM system.
• Maintain drawing accuracy and compliance with company drafting standards.
• Support continuous improvement and standardization of electrical drawing packages.
