Job summary

Forgent Power Solutions, Inc. in Champlin, MN is seeking an Electrical Drafter to support the design and documentation of medium voltage switchgear and power distribution systems.

You will produce accurate drawing packages and supporting documentation for engineered-to-order projects. The ideal candidate has 2–4+ years of drafting experience in industrial electrical or power distribution environments and is proficient with AutoCAD Electrical.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical certification in Electrical Drafting, Engineering Technology, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 2-4 years of drafting experience in industrial electrical or power distribution environments.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical, electrical drafting standards, wire list generation and revision management.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical one-lines, schematics, wiring diagrams, control drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to support multiple projects in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Create and revise electrical drawings using AutoCAD Electrical.
• Produce engineering documentation including one-line diagrams, schematic drawings, wiring diagrams, BOMs, and control panels.
• Support design documentation for medium voltage switchgear, protection and control systems, and power distribution assemblies.
• Incorporate engineering updates, manufacturing redlines, and production feedback into released drawings.
• Coordinate with engineering and manufacturing teams to resolve drawing discrepancies and support production needs.
• Assist with drawing revisions and workflow updates within the PLM system.
• Maintain drawing accuracy and compliance with company drafting standards.
• Support continuous improvement and standardization of electrical drawing packages.
