Job summary

Forgent Power Solutions, Inc. seeks an Electrical Engineer III to oversee and lead the design of electrical control systems for safe, effective operation of Forgent products and processes, meeting quality and production standards and customer documentation and delivery requirements.

You will lead design, review customer specs, select components, and develop design packages while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering required.
• 5+ years of engineering experience with leadership or advanced technical responsibilities.
• Ability to design and lead electrical projects per functional requirements and industry standards.
• Experience supporting product assembly, manufacturing and testing processes.
• Ability to coordinate and manage engineering tasks for customer projects.
• Experience developing quotes or providing technical input for project proposals.
• Proficiency with electrical design software and engineering tools.
• Ability to use electrical test equipment relevant to power or control systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong relationship-building skills with internal teams, customers, and suppliers.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the design and development of electrical control systems.
• Review and interpret customer specifications and project documents.
• Utilize design software to develop electrical design packages.
• Improve design processes with standardized practices and tools.
• Evaluate and select electrical/electronic components for control systems.
• Provide technical troubleshooting and support for internal teams, customers, and field personnel.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve design, manufacturing, and quality issues.
• Create training materials, documentation and procedures for engineering teams.
• Stay current with industry trends and new product advancements.
• Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and internal teams.
