LaBella Associates in Albany, NY or Poughkeepsie, NY is seeking an entry-level Electrical Engineer focused on building projects. You will work with a project team to develop concepts, designs, drawings, specifications and reports for buildings from conception to construction.

Duties include lighting calculations, power distribution design, arc flash studies and field investigations, with drafting in Revit and AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Associates Degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• Interest in building systems and eagerness to learn.
• EIT certification is a plus.
• Background in AutoCAD and/or Revit is preferred.
• Experience in the A/E consulting business is a plus.
• Strong writing, organizational and communications skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare electrical design drawings using Revit and AutoCAD.
• Perform lighting calculations and arc flash studies.
• Work with project team to develop concepts, strategies, designs, drawings, specifications and reports.
• Perform field investigations to document existing conditions.
• Maintain a professional, collaborative attitude with coworkers and project stakeholders.
