Job summary

LaBella Associates is seeking an Electrical Engineer with a focus on Building Projects to join our Albany, NY or Poughkeepsie, NY offices. You will work with a project team to develop concepts, strategies, designs, drawings, specifications, and reports from conception to construction.

The role requires 3–7 years of experience, a Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in electrical engineering (EIT a plus), and proficiency with AutoCAD or Revit.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• 3–7 years of experience.
• EIT certification is a plus.
• Background in AutoCAD and/or Revit is preferred.
• Experience in the A/E consulting business is a plus.
• Strong writing, organizational and communications skills.

Responsibilities

• Work with other engineers as part of a Project Team to develop concepts, strategies, designs, drawings, specifications, and reports.
• Prepare electrical design drawings using Revit and AutoCAD.
• Perform lighting calculations and arc flash studies.
• Perform field investigations to document existing conditions.
