Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking an entry level Electrical Engineer 1 in Cedar Rapids, IA to design and develop digital hardware for high-performance avionics systems. You will work with cross-functional teams across the product lifecycle and contribute to ongoing sustainment and improvements in processing and networking hardware.

The role emphasizes hands-on hardware design, validation, and collaboration with Systems, Software, and Manufacturing teams, onsite at Collins Aerospace.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or STEM major obtained by start date.
• Experience with digital logic and memory technologies (ASIC/FPGA/CPLD).
• Knowledge of digital circuit design parameters and PCB layout.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, document, verify, support, and troubleshoot digital hardware for avionics products.
• Collaborate with Systems, Software, Mechanical, Environmental Effects Engineering, Manufacturing and Design-to-Cost teams across product lifecycle.
• Work on designs using digital logic, processors, and memory technologies (ASIC/FPGA/CPLD).
• Support current production issues as needed.
