Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Cedar Rapids seeks a Principal Project Engineer to lead the Avionics Network Hardware team within the Displays, Controls, Computing & Networking Directorate.

You will guide cross‑discipline programs from concept through delivery, defining engineering direction and ensuring alignment with customer and business objectives. You will manage design concepts, schedules, and cost estimates across the lifecycle, delivering high‑quality solutions.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics with 8+ years of experience.
• Experience leading multi-discipline engineering teams or projects.
• Ability to manage cost, schedule, and technical performance commitments.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical integration across all engineering domains through the product lifecycle.
• Define engineering direction and criteria aligned with programs and customers.
• Manage resources, schedules, and cost estimates to meet milestones.
• Collaborate with Program Management, Operations, Supply Chain and customers.
