Job summary

TechServ Engineering seeks an entry-level Engineering Technician/Designer for the Electrical Distribution team in Fort Worth, TX. Training provided; 2–3 weeks onboarding; you will learn the client CAD software and work under project coordinators to design for newbuilds, alterations, and redevelopments.

Travel about 20% and growth opportunities within the company are offered. A strong team mindset and open-office environment are emphasized; HS diploma or 2-year degree and MS Office skills are

Qualifications

• CAD proficiency with AutoCAD, MicroStation, SolidWorks.
• MS Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams).
• Collaborative team player with Engineers and Project Managers.
• Knowledge of electrical design and distribution systems a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Use CAD to design newbuilds, alterations, redevelopments with engineers.
• Execute electrical design tasks using standard drawings and NES procedures.
• Apply design changes, redlines, and mark-ups on ongoing projects.
• Analyze reports, drawings, and tests to plan projects.
• Review drawings for quality, scope, budget, and schedule.
• Assist with project setup in PM systems and data entry.
