ENTRUST Solutions Group in Fargo, ND and Minneapolis, MN is seeking an Entry-Level Electrical Design Technician to support electric distribution projects focusing on wildfire mitigation, grid resiliency, and infrastructure improvements through utility design, GIS/CAD drafting, and field assessments.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in utility design (electric preferred) or related drafting.
• Familiarity with GIS platforms (e.g., GE Smallworld) and AutoCAD is a plus.
• Detail-oriented with comfort using technology; training provided on utility design standards.

Responsibilities

• Design electric distribution projects (overhead/underground) from start to finish.
• Create, update, and revise construction drawings using GIS/CAD tools.
• Perform utility design calculations (pole loading, transformer sizing, routing).
• Conduct field visits to verify assets and collect critical design data.
• Track projects, manage materials, and coordinate with crews and schedulers.
• Serve as a point of contact for customers and construction teams.
