ENTRUST Solutions Group seeks a Senior Design Technician to support electric utility projects in the Raleigh/Durham or Greensboro area. You will help deliver accurate designs, assist with project coordination, and contribute to infrastructure upgrades that strengthen grid reliability.

The role emphasizes drafting, engineering calculations, permits, and cost estimating, with field support and cross-department collaboration to ensure timely completion.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of utility industry design experience in electric distribution design.
• Proficiency with GIS and CAD software for layout review and updates.
• Ability to coordinate across departments, clients, and field teams.

Responsibilities

• Support electric distribution projects including highway relocations and grid upgrades.
• Assist in producing engineering plans, reports, and construction documents.
• Complete utility design tasks: drafting, calculations, permits, and cost estimating.
• Coordinate projects across departments and with contractors and clients.
• Utilize GIS/CAD to review and update utility system layouts and data.
