Job summary

P2S|CMTA is seeking an entry-level Electrical Design Engineer in Long Beach, CA. You will support pre-design and design phases for diverse building projects under experienced engineers, gaining hands-on exposure to electrical systems, calculations, diagrams, and power distribution.

The role offers a hybrid schedule (3 days in-office, 2 remote) and growth opportunities with mentorship. Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering is required, EIT preferred, LEED a plus, and California-building experience

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field required.
• EIT certification preferred or ability to obtain it.
• LEED accreditation a plus.
• Membership in professional engineering associations a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with electrical calculations, single-line diagrams, load schedules, lighting systems, and power distribution design.
• Support design phases of commercial, institutional, and healthcare projects under senior engineers.
• Gain experience with industry-standard software and power system studies.
