Job summary

Qualifications

• ARDMS or CCI certification in cardiac or vascular sonography.
• Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate technical competency for department protocols and perform ultrasound exams.
• Prioritize and schedule exams; coordinate with staff, physicians and patients.
• Educate patients and families about procedures and ensure patient safety and comfort.
• Document exam results and applicable information; apply charge codes for exams and supplies.
• Mentor caregivers and students on equipment use and procedural technique.
