Job summary

Houston Methodist in Baytown, TX is seeking an entry-level Echo Sonographer I to perform routine echocardiograms including Transthoracic Echocardiogram (TTE) with color, spectral Doppler and 2-D imaging, TEE and stress echocardiography. You will transmit exams to compatible systems and communicate significant findings to physicians.

The role requires on-call availability, completion of an approved cardiovascular program or six months of experience, and current BLS.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an education program approved by credentialing bodies for required credentials.
• BLS certification required; ARDMS or CCI credentials preferred.
• Ability to perform a range of echo procedures and communicate findings clearly.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine echocardiograms including TTE, TEE, and stress tests as assigned.
• Transmit exams to DICOM storage; document and communicate significant findings.
• Maintain patient safety, on-call duties, and adherence to department protocols.
