Job summary

Houston Methodist is seeking a Pediatric Echo Sonographer to perform a range of echocardiograms in inpatient and outpatient settings. The role includes TTE, TEE, stress echo, bubble/contrast studies, and 4D imaging with assessment of complex congenital or structural heart conditions.

The Sonographer will transmit exams to PACS, document findings, and communicate important results to the attending physician. On-call availability is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of education program approved by the credentialing body for the required credential(s) indicated below in the Certifications, Licenses and Registrations section.

Responsibilities

• Performs and evaluates pediatric echocardiograms including TTE, TEE and stress studies.
• Explains purpose and techniques to patients and ensures data is accurately recorded.
• Assists physicians and healthcare team during echo studies and maintains sterile technique.
