Job summary

Houston Methodist is seeking an Echo Sonographer II to perform a broad range of echocardiograms, including TTE and TEE, with color Doppler and 3D imaging, for inpatients and outpatients. The role requires on-call availability and the ability to transmit studies to DICOM storage and interpreting systems.

Successful candidates will have at least three years of cardiac echo experience, a credentialing program graduate, and BLS certification, with ARDMS/CCI credentials.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved education program for required credentials.
• Minimum three years experience as Cardiac/Echo Sonographer; HM experience may count.
• BLS certification and one of ARDMS/CCI credentials (RDCS, RDCS-AE, RVT, RCS, RVS).

Responsibilities

• Perform cardiac echo studies (TTE/TEE, color Doppler, 2D, 3D) for inpatients and outpatients.
• Transmit exams to DICOM storage and interpreting systems; communicate findings to physicians.
• Support pharmacologic/exercise stress tests, Holter/EKG monitoring as needed.
• Maintain quality, safety, and department standards; on-call availability.
