Job summary

Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic is seeking a cardiac sonographer to perform high-quality echocardiograms (TEE and TTE) for adult inpatients and outpatients across multiple locations.

The role requires knowledge of ultrasound techniques, current BLS certification, and certification through CCI or ARDMS within 6 months. Flexibility and interdepartmental collaboration are essential for timely studies and quality care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certification as cardiac sonographer through CCI or ARDMS registry within 6 months of hire.
• Graduate of formal cardiac sonography training program highly preferred.
• Knowledge of ultrasound techniques, principles and procedures.
• Current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform echocardiograms (TEE/TTE/SE as applicable) for inpatient and outpatient adults.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely studies.
• Administer imaging agents per ASE guidelines.
• Participate in the department's Quality Improvement program.
• Identify patients and orient them to procedures.
• Comply with IAC standards and guidelines.
• Maintain and handle equipment per manufacturer guidelines.
• Demonstrate flexibility and teamwork; perform other duties as assigned.
