Job summary

Vital Records Control (VRC) in Tampa, FL seeks a Digital Specialist I to prepare and scan large volumes of printed material, converting it into high-quality digital images under defined customer specifications.

You will operate automatic feeders and flatbed scanners, adjust parameters, maintain equipment, and log document and box numbers for retrieval. This role requires reliability, English communication, and the ability to work overtime as needed; teamwork with Operations is essential.

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate effectively in English.
• Proficient with computer workstation and scanner systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot computer problems as they relate to electronic document conversion.
• Must be willing to work overtime hours as needed.
• Must have a positive and respectful attitude towards coworkers and customers.
• Must be able and willing to follow Company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and scan paper documents according to customer specifications.
• Accept changes to specifications as needed.
• Use automatic feeder and flatbed scanner to scan various paper sizes.
• Set scanner parameters for each job to match customer specs.
• Perform daily maintenance/cleaning of scanners to ensure image quality.
• Log document/box numbers for future retrieval.
• Assist other team members with document preparation and indexing.
• Complete other tasks as directed by supervisor or Director of Operations.
