Job summary

RTX, the world’s largest aerospace and defense company, seeks a Digital Hardware Design Engineer 1 for Collins Aerospace in Cedar Rapids, IA. You will collaborate with Systems, Software, Mechanical, and Manufacturing teams to ensure hardware requirements are met, with emphasis on high-speed digital circuit board design, testability, and thermal management.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's in Electrical/Computer Engineering and familiarity with electronic circuit design.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related STEM degree obtained prior to start.
• Familiarity with development and design of electronic circuit designs and multi-assembly system design.

Responsibilities

• Design, analyze, simulate and test Circuit Card Assemblies for Avionics Computers (Processors, FPGAs, Memory, high-speed interfaces).
• Operate lab equipment to perform integration testing on hardware designs.
• Schematic capture of digital/analog mixed signal electrical circuit designs.
