Job summary

Collins Aerospace, a leader in aerospace and defense, has an opening in Cedar Rapids for an entry-level Electrical Engineer 1 to develop digital hardware for high-performance computing products in avionics. This onsite role requires a BE/CE in STEM and offers growth through exposure to ASIC/FPGA, processors, and memory technologies.

You will collaborate with Systems, Software, Mechanical, and Manufacturing teams, and engage across the hardware development lifecycle, including requirements,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required by start date in Electrical/Computer Engineering or STEM
• Experience via coursework or projects acceptable

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, document, verify, support and troubleshoot digital hardware for avionics products.
• Collaborate with Systems, Software, Mechanical, Environmental Effects, Manufacturing and DTC teams to meet requirements throughout the lifecycle.
• Work on designs using digital logic (ASIC/FPGA/CPLD), processors and memory technologies.
• Provide support for current production issues as needed.
