Headquartered in Indianapolis, Cox Automotive Mobility Fleet Services (CAMFS) has grown to become one of the largest fleet maintenance companies in the country.

CAMFS is the leading provider of on-site mobile maintenance and repair services nationwide, offering mobile on-site fleet service for light, medium, and heavy-duty trucks and trailers. CAMFS also services customers utilizing its 20+ nationwide service centers; each offering accident repair, painting, refurbishment, and heavy mechanical repair. We are supported by a 24/7 in-house call center and provide scheduled and unscheduled maintenance services to fleets anywhere, anytime.

Are you interested in a career as a Diesel Technician?
  • Have you ever thought about a career as a Diesel Technician?
  • Are you tired of working hard at a dead-end job with no appreciation for your contributions?
  • Do you want to feel proud of what you do and pursue a brighter future for yourself and your family?
  • Have you taken apart and reassembled a pickup truck in your driveway? Do you have a loud exhaust or a spoiler with enough downforce to keep you under the speed limit? (Looks nice though).
  • Are you working as a lube tech or in another maintenance shop position, but your company does not provide education or tools?

FleeTec Academy is a paid educational program that leads to a full-time Diesel & Trailer Technician position with us. It was established to help individuals enter the Diesel & Trailer Maintenance field without the burden of expensive technical school tuition or purchasing tools, which can be financially prohibitive.

We pay you to go through our program, providing free education on Diesel Engines fundamentals and truck repair, along with a set of hand tools and a toolbox. Our goal is to help you become the best Diesel & Trailer Technician out there!

The program requires a commitment of four (4) weeks of full-time study at our Academy Campus, with all travel expenses, accommodation, and meals paid by us, plus a weekly stipend. After completing classroom training, you will be paired with a Lead Technician for hands-on training and offered a full-time position as a Mobile Diesel Mechanic in your market. Additional training sessions may be scheduled to further develop your skills, and upon successful completion of the multi-year program, you will be qualified as a Diesel Technician. And yes, you get to keep the tools.

Program Benefits:
  • 4 weeks paid classroom training; all travel expenses paid.
  • Free technical education.
  • Hands-on training by experienced technicians and a full-time job in your market.
  • Operate a state-of-the-art vehicle to perform preventative maintenance and general repairs onsite at customer locations.
  • Competitive pay rates with a clear pathway for raises.
  • Starting at $13.08/hr (or state minimum wages, whichever is greater) plus a $250/week stipend (taxed).
  • After 6 weeks, pay increases to $19/hr.
  • Additional training at Indy for 4 weeks at $19/hr plus $250/week.
  • Upon graduation, a $1/hr increase.
What You Bring:
  • A desire to start a career as a Diesel & Trailer Technician and become a Mobile Mechanic.
  • Willingness and ability to study hard.
  • Availability to dedicate four (4) weeks away from home.
  • Maturity to focus on your tasks; this is the start of your career, not a summer job.
  • Technical aptitude and a passion for vehicle repair.
  • Ability to operate an iPad.
  • You must be 21 or older to drive our trucks.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required.
  • We conduct background checks, driving record checks, pre-employment drug testing, and physicals.
  • If you have recently separated from active military duty, we want to hear from you!

Benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance starting DAY ONE, 401(k) with matching after 90 days, up to 200 hours of paid time off, tuition assistance, adoption/surrogacy support, pet insurance, diversity groups, volunteer hours, and employee discounts on various services and products.
