No prior restaurant experience is required; receive coaching, learn core techniques (sautéing, roasting, butchery), and grow within a premium hospitality brand in downtown Austin.

Qualifications

• Active unexpired Food Handler's Certification — required
• No prior restaurant or hotel kitchen experience required — just a genuine passion for food and a desire to learn and grow
• Entry-level program with hands-on training in a professional hotel kitchen

Responsibilities

• Train as a Culinarian at Yacht Club learning full duties of a professional cook
• Follow all F&B procedures, health regulations, and food safety guidelines
• Practice proper food handling, storage, and sanitation per HACCP and brand requirements
• Assist in maintaining food and labor cost standards for the Yacht Club team
• Check ingredient freshness and follow recipes and oyster bar specs
• Monitor guest feedback scores to influence food quality rankings
• Foster cooperation and respect among coworkers in a pre-opening kitchen
