Job summary

NGFCU in Gardena, California is seeking a Consumer Loan Processor I to guide members through the lending process, answer questions, originate applications, and coordinate funding for a smooth member experience.

You will work with loan officers, dealerships, and internal teams to promote credit union products, maintain accurate records, and ensure compliance. They offer a competitive hourly pay range of $21.75 to $26.00, benefits, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years in a financial institution with sales/service experience.
• Experience with consumer lending, new accounts, teller operations, or member services.
• Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, DocuSign, and LOS.

Responsibilities

• Answer member questions about loan products, rates, and credit union services.
• Guide members through the loan application process and recommend lending solutions.
• Originate consumer loan applications through multiple channels (in-branch, online, phone).
• Monitor applications from origination through funding with timely updates.
• Coordinate with loan officers to facilitate decisions and service.
• Explain loan decisions and provide guidance when declined.
• Process approved loans and prepare funding documentation.
• Review loan documentation for accuracy and policy compliance.
• Assist with credit card processing, balance transfers, and related services.
• Maintain accurate loan records and imaging/retention of documents.
