Job summary

ECS Limited is seeking a Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Field Technician to join our Savannah team. No experience is required as you’ll learn under seasoned professionals and receive training to safely perform a variety of tasks on-site.

You will conduct field observations, testing, and sampling of soils, aggregates, and concrete, and collect data for calculations. The role emphasizes safety, communication with site teams, and ongoing development through certifications.

Qualifications

• No experience required.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be able to lift up to 85 pounds and have a valid driver’s license.
• Willing to learn CMT principles and ASTM standards and pursue certifications.

Responsibilities

• Conduct observation, testing, and sampling of soils, aggregates, and concrete on construction sites.
• Perform routine field and laboratory tests following industry standards.
• Collect data, perform calculations, and assist with drafting and admin duties as needed.
• Maintain daily communication with site contractors, technicians, and project managers; report changes and testing needs.
• Receive training in ECS methodologies and document findings precisely per engineering practices.
