Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) Construction & Development seeks a Contract Specialist Level 1 (Construction Contracts) to support procurements for the capital program and assist with award documentation for A+B and IFP contracts. This entry-level role focuses on contracts and procurement with potential overtime and travel.

Based at 2 Broadway, the position offers telework eligibility of one day per week and requires a bachelor's degree and at least one year of related experience.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of contract terminology, terms and conditions, procurement, and construction management.
• Strong interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, organizational, negotiation, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supports the Construction Contracts division with researching tasks and documents to promote the efficient operation of the Contracts Department.
• Provides status updates on the relevant tasks and activities to senior management, as required.
• Under the guidance of managers, provides support to the division to facilitate the procurement and award documentation associated with A+B and IFP contracts, A+B bidding, design-build, progressive-design build, and public-private partnerships procurement contracts.
